• The cancellation policy is applicable to the refundable as well as non-refundable fares. 
• The airlines allow passengers to cancel the flight within 24 hours and claim a full refund. The policy is applicable for flights originating to and from the United States. The departure date must be booked at least 1 week ahead to be eligible for the 24-hour cancellation. 
• Any reservation purchased through omanair.com needs to be canceled via the Manage Booking section. 
• The booking cancellation requests cannot be reversed once the request is processed. 
• Passengers can cancel the flight up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure if flying on the international route. 
• The airline only allows no-show cancellation for the Business Class fares only. 
• Oman Air may cancel your ticket due to the failure to comply with the airline’s rules or you fail to pay for your ticket or abide by the fare conditions.

To cancel the flight, you can simply visit the airline’s website or by calling the airline’s customer service phone number.

To cancel the flight online, the reservation must be purchased through omanair.com and must be cancelled up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure. To cancel the flight – 

• Go to omanair.com and navigate to the Manage Booking section. 
• Enter the airline’s reservation PNR and the last name of the passenger.
• Select the flight that you need to cancel.
• Confirm your selection and the refund would be processed back to the original method of payment.

Oman Air Cancelled Flights

As per the Oman Air cancellation, a cancellation caused by the airlines  – 

• For the confirmed reservation booking where the airline fails to operate as per the schedule. 
•  Or, the airline fails to offer you an alternate flight for the same destination or stopover. 

The airline will offer you a refund in lieu of the travel credit of the unused booking amount, if you terminate your travel plans and reside to take an alternate flight. 

In the event where the passenger missed a flight connection in which the ticket is confirmed, Oman Air will process a refund for the connecting flight or offer an alternate flight to the final destination. 

In the force majeure event (one of the Oman Air cancelled flights events), the airline may cancel, terminate, divert or postpone the flight without any prior notice to the passenger, without offering any refund to the passenger. 

Oman Air Ticket Cancellation Compensation

Subject to the Oman Air cancellation policy, a passenger qualifies for the compensation on top of the refund on the unused portion of the ticket – 

•  If the airline cancelled the flight. 
• Or, the flight has been delayed for 3 or more hours. 
• Or, if the airline denied the boarding to the reservation due to booking.

Compensation for the Oman Air cancelled flights

A passenger qualifies for the compensation if the airline cancels its flight schedule less than 14 days before the scheduled departure. However, the compensation amount would be higher if the airline cancels the flight after the scheduled departure. Such as – 

Compensation for the delayed flight – In case, the departure delay takes place. A passenger qualifies for compensation if the flight is delayed for 3 or more hours. Such as  – 

Compensation for the denial boarding – The airline will offer a compensation based on the length of the delay in the arrival time as compared to the original scheduled arrival. 

Oman Air Refund Policy

As per the Oman Air refund policy, if none of the flight segment is used, you’re entitled to get the refund of an amount equal to the fare, and is subject to the airline’s cancellation penalty. Add to that – 

• In case the airline is unable to offer you the same class of service as booked, rather a refund on the difference in the fare. 
• The airline refuses to offer any refund if the passenger cancels the reservation after 12 months from the date of issue. 
• The airline will issue a refund within 10 working days for the flight booking made with credit card, and 20 working days for the purchases made with cash. Debit card or other form of payment. 
• The refund will be made to the party or subscriber whose account the flight booking was purchased through. 
• You have the right to claim the full refund if making the flight cancellation within 24 hours of purchase, provided that the scheduled departure was booked at least 168 hours in advance. 
• In the event where the passenger missed a flight connection in which the ticket is confirmed, Oman Air will process a refund for the connecting flight or offer an alternate flight to the final destination. 
• Oman Air refund policy is applicable on the flight operated by Oman Air.

As per the Oman Air cancellation policy , the airline’s penalty would be applied per passenger per ticket basis. This is opposed to the per booking basis which may include the number of flight bookings and travelers.
