But with Eva Air cancellation policy you can add enormous flexibility to your travel, even if you cancel your plans at the last minute, you don’t have to shell out tons of money while saving your booking value for future travel. Let’s discuss some of the important highlights of the Eva Air flight cancellation rule  before you actually hit the ‘Cancel’ button for your flights :

• When you book a reservation through the Eva Air website or airport counter for the flights to and from the USA and Canada one week or more prior to the travel date, you are allowed to cancel your booking without any penalty and receive a full refund provided that you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of purchase. 
• The refund for the Eva Air flight for all eligible tickets purchased through the Eva Air booking portal or via ticket counter by credit/debit card will be processed within 7-10 working days.
• Eva Air cancellation policy would be applicable on refundable as well as non-refundable fares. However, reward tickets or group fares would not be covered under the Eva Air ticket cancellation policy.
• In the event of Eva Air canceled flight, passengers will obtain a full refund. The passenger would also be eligible for the Eva Air flight cancellation compensation that varies on the severity of flight delays and cancellations. 
• Passengers need to cancel their Eva Air reservation and claim refunds if it was reserved through third party travel agents or via Online Travel Agency (OTA) 
• Eva Air cancellation refund of the unused segment would be calculated with the value of the used segment deducted, rather than half of the original airfare value. 
• In the case of non-refundable fares, after calculation, only airport tax is refundable, if so, no handling fee or any additional fee will be charged other than the Eva Air cancellation fee. 

Eva Air Cancellation Policy 24 Hours

All the Eva Air flights originate to and from the USA and Canada are eligible under Eva Air 24 hour cancellation policy and claim a full refund if :

• Passenger cancels within 24 hours of purchase
• If the date of cancellation must be 7 days or more from the date of departure
• If you have not booked your Eva Air flight under group fares
• If you have not purchased using Eva Air frequent flyer miles
• If the ticket is booked through the Eva Air booking portal or via the Eva Air ticket office. 

Eva Air Cancellation Fee

Eva Air charges 50 USD as a cancellation fee for domestic flight routes and for 100 USD fee for international flights. Eva Air ticket cancellation fee would not be assessed if passengers are able to cancel their flight reservation within 24 hours of purchase. Here are the important points to note :

• In case of refundable fare, passengers would get a remaining value of the airfare as a refund that is processed in the original method of payment used at the time of booking after the deduction of Eva Air ticket cancellation fee.
• In the case of non-refundable fare, the remaining value of the airfare would be converted into a future credit voucher. The credit voucher would be valid for a year from the date of cancellation provided that the passenger must complete the travel within the validity period. 

How to Cancel Eva Air Reservation?

Eva Air flight cancellation can be requested at the airline’s booking portal as well by visiting the Eva Air booking counter at the airport. Let’s understand how can you cancel your Eva Air booking :

Here is the step by step procedure that helps you cancel an Eva Air flight :

• Visit the Eva Air online website and cancel the ‘Manage Booking’ tab. You can retrieve your booked flights online in one of the two ways :
  • Enter the six-digit booking reference along with the first and the last name of the concerned passenger.
  • Enter the 13-digit e-ticket number along with the last four digits of the debit/credit card that was provided at the time of booking

• Select the flight that you need to cancel on the flight booking page, and click on the ‘change/cancel’ tab. 
• On the next page, you will get the information regarding the fare rules that says whether your booking can be canceled or not. You will also get an idea of whether you own a refundable or a non-refundable fare.
• Once you get a fare value on the unused portion of the ticket after the deduction of the Eva Air cancellation fee, click on “Confirm my selection’ to agree to the flight cancellation. 
• Once the cancellation is initiated, you will get the confirmation sent to your registered email address provided at the time of booking. 
• Passengers making Eva Air flight cancellation for refundable fare will get the due refund in 7-10 business days credited back in the original method of payment. 

Please note that the online system allows you to cancel your booking one hour prior to the scheduled departure at the latest, regardless of the fare type or class of service selected. Following conditions would apply on  Eva Air booking where online cancellation would not be applicable :

• Making a partial cancellation or half-flown segment 
• Bookings not yet generated a 13-digit ticket number
• Group reservation
•  Eva Air flight itinerary comprised of the flight segment with other carriers
• Unable to cancel online due to technical error

if you are not able to retrieve your booking due to restricted fare rule, or due to  Eva Air canceled flight event, you can visit the airport counter at working hours to resolve your concern. You would need a valid photo ID or passport as well as the printout of your booking confirmation for identity verification. 

Denial of Boarding or Involuntary Cancellation

If the passenger denied boarding under the following conditions then the airline is bound to offer a refund of the full ticket value : 

• Overbooking
• Involuntary flight cancellation within two weeks prior to the scheduled flight departure
• Flight delays for than three hours
• Flight delay cause passengers to their connecting flights
• Passenger denied boarding due to airline’s bankruptcy or technical failure 
• Cancellation of flight schedule due to severe weather or unable to make your flight due to huge traffic disruption

Passengers may not be offered Eva Air flight cancellation compensation :

• If a passenger has not complied with ticketing, check-in, or other reconfirmation requirements 
• If you’re denied boarding because the flight is canceled due to safety or weight/balance restrictions.
• If Eva Air re-routes you to another flight that reaches your stopover or final destination within one hour of the planned arrival time. 
• If you’re offered an alternate trip in another class of service at no extra charge. 

Amount of Eva Air flight cancellation compensation if the passenger denied boarding : 

• Zero refund and compensation if the airline offers an alternate flight that reaches the final destination or a stopover no later than one hour after the planned arrival time of the passenger’s original schedule
• 200% refund of the original fare value if the airline offers an alternate flight option that is planned to arrive at the passenger’s destination between one hour and four hours after the planned arrival time of the passenger’s original schedule
• 400% refund of the original fare value if the airline fails to offers an alternate flight option.

Eva Air Refund Policy

Here is the overview of the  Eva Air cancellation refund that should be noted before making a cancellation to your booking :

• A passenger could not claim an Eva Air cancellation refund after the export of the validation of the ticket. 
•  Eva Air flight cancellation refund would be processed in the same method of payment and the same currency used to pay for the ticket. 
•  Eva Air cancellation refund would be processed on the unused portion in accordance with the applicable  Eva Air ticket cancellation policy.
•  Eva Air cancel refund should be entitled either to the person named in the ticket or the person who has paid for the ticket. 
• In the case of  Eva Air canceled flight event or the airline failed to stop at your stopover or cause you to miss the connecting flight,  Eva Air refund would be applied on the unused portion to the amount equal to the fare paid.
•  Eva Air flight cancellation fee would not be imposed on involuntary cancellations.
• Tickets purchased from the travel agencies should refer to the original issuing travel agent for Eva Air cancel flight refund. 
• Eva Air cancellation charges would be waived once for every passenger on the same booking.
