• The airline does not allow booking cancellation after the scheduled departure.
• The airline will offer the refund in the form of a credit shell. A credit shell remains valid for 2 years from the date of cancellation. 
• The Vietjet Air cancellation fee will be charged as per the current policy. 

VietJet Air Deluxe and Eco Fare – 

• The cancellation penalty will be charged as per the current policy.
• In case of a no-show, the flight ticket would be automatically canceled. The entire fare would be forfeited and is non-refundable under any circumstances. 
• Passengers need to cancel the flight up to 24 hours in advance from the scheduled departure time of the flight. 
• For the Deluxe ad Econ Fare, the credit shall remain valid for 6 months from the date of cancellation.

What is VietJet’s cancellation policy for ‘no-shows’ passengers?

Passengers would be classified as ‘no-show’ if they fail to board the flight. Passengers need to notify VietJet in order to prevent their booking from forfeiture and remain non-refundable under any circumstances.

For passengers traveling on a Group 1 route – 

• Passengers traveling on Group 1 route must cancel up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure. 
• Once you are a no-show your flight booking is automatically canceled. 
• The entire booking amount is forfeited and is non-refundable

For passengers traveling on a Group 2 route – 

• To request a credit shell on your flight, you must notify of cancellation no later than 72 hours after the scheduled departure. 
• Passengers would be charged a no-show fee.
• Passengers are not entitled to any refund if canceled 72 hours after scheduled departure. 

What is VietJet 24-hour flight cancellation policy?

As per the Vietjet Air cancellation policy, you can comfortably change or cancel the flight within 1 day of purchase, without bearing any additional airline penalty.

Please note that the flight must be purchased through the Vietjet Air reservation portal or through the Vietjet Air reservations phone number. To get the full refund, you must fulfill the following conditions – 

• The policy is applicable on flights made on vietjetair.com.
• Any promotional, military, or discounted fare is not covered under the 24-hour cancellation. 
• Cancellation must be completed within 24 hours of purchase. 
• The departure date must be selected at least 1 week (168 hours) in advance. 
• Vietjet flight cancellation can be done by calling the airline’s customer service. 
• The service is applicable on direct as well as connecting flights. 
• In case of a Vietjet Air flight change request, the change fee will be waived whereas the passenger will be responsible for any applicable fare difference. 
• Any changes that have been completed within 24 hours, then any cancellation under the same period will not be refunded. 

How to Cancel a VietJet Flight Ticket?

Any passenger who is holding the flight operated and marketed by Vietjet Air, can cancel the flight through a direct channel such as the airline’s reservation website, Vietjet Air booking counter or through customer service. 

Cancel VietJet Flight Online

When you purchase a reservation through the airline’s official website, you can cancel your reservation online through the My Booking section. This is how you cancel the flight with Vietjet Air – 

• After you visit the airline’s website, go to the My Booking section to cancel your flight.
• Enter the following details in the required field – Reservation code, First Name, and Last Name.
• Select the flight to cancel. Review the Vietjet refund amount at the checkout page.
• Confirm your selection and the airline will process the refund.
• Vietjet Air processed the refund in the form of a credit shell. The validity of the booking depends upon the type of fare purchased. 

After you complete the VietJet Air check-in process, you cannot request flight cancelation online.

Cancel VietJet Flight through Phone

To cancel the individual passenger or the flight segment if you’re holding a canceled flight segment, or if you want to redeem the credit shell, you can call the Vietjet Air cancel flight phone number. Do the following – 

• Once connected, an airline representative will likely ask for the booking reference number, passenger names, and flight details.
• Clearly state whether you want to cancel an individual passenger, a flight segment, or if you are holding a canceled flight segment. If you have a credit shell that you wish to redeem, let the representative know.

• Inquire about the available refund options or alternative arrangements, such as rescheduling or Credit Shell.

How do VietJet Air flight cancellation refunds work?

As per the Vietjet Air cancellation policy, depending on pin the type of ticket and fare type purchased, the ticket may or may not be refundable as per the following conditions – 

• For any Vietjet flight cancellation due to force majeure reasons, the airlines may consider issuing a credit shell refund and may charge a penalty.
• In the event that the passenger has been denied boarding or the flight has been canceled or has been delayed for hours or more, passengers are entitled to a refund. Vietjet Air will issue a refund in the form of a credit shell which remains valid for 180 days from the date of cancellation. 
• The airline will issue a refund to the person whose name is displayed on the flight reservation. In all other cases, the refund would be issued to the authorized person who paid for the ticket. 
• The airlines will issue a refund in the same manner as the passenger paid for the original flight booking.
• When the passenger purchases the ticket, the airline will refund in the currency paid at the time of purchasing the flight ticket. 
• The airline will not offer any refund if the passenger has been denied boarding due to the failure to comply with the measures to ensure flight security and safety.
