Swoop Airlines staff will assist with the check-in process, provide physical boarding passes, and guide passengers through checking the baggage.

Please Note: Swoop online check in is not permitted on codeshare agreement flights, and passengers traveling in groups need to complete the process at the airport.

How to request Swoop online check in?

Passengers can check in only through the airline’s website and not with the mobile app. The Swoop check in online is available between 24 hours and 1 hour before departure. 

Follow the steps –

• Go to Swoop Airlines’ official website and click on the ‘Check-in’ tab on the homepage.
• You will be redirected to this page. 

• Enter the Departure Airport, Booking Reference, and the passenger’s Last Name. Click on the Check-in tab to access your booking.
• Select the flight segment and you may have the option to select your seats during online check-in.
• Double-check all the information you’ve entered, including your flight details, personal information, and seat selection.
• After successfully completing the online check-in process, you’ll be provided with Swoop Airlines boarding pass

Is Swoop mobile check in available?

Swoop Airlines has recently retired check-in using a mobile app therefore you can only use the airline’s website for online check-in to avoid any hassle.

What about the airport check in for Swoop flights?

Passengers can request the Swoop flight check in at the airport 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

Follow these steps to complete the check-in at the airport – 

• Proceed to the check-in counter at the airport. Look for signs or ask airport staff for directions if you’re unsure of the location.
• Have your travel documents ready, including your passport or government-issued ID alongside your booking reference number.
• Present your travel documents and booking details, that will allow the airline’s representative to complete the Swoop check in process. 
• The airline will issue your boarding pass, and help with baggage tags if you’re carrying checked baggage.
• After completing the check-in and baggage drop-off process, proceed to the security screening area.

What is the Swoop check in time?

Check in for domestic flights

It is recommended to arrive at the airport at least 1.5 hours before your flight’s departure. 

Below is the overview of the cut-offs for the Swoop Airlines check in time 

Check-in counter and baggage drop – These close 45 minutes prior to departure. Please note that there are no exceptions to this rule. Non-compliance with these guidelines may lead to Swoop Airlines flight cancellation.

Boarding Gate – Gates open 45 minutes before departure. 

Oversize or overweight baggage – Should you have oversized or overweight baggage, the Swoop baggage check in time is 90 minutes before departure. 

Swoop check in for International flights

For international flights, it is recommended to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your departure time.

Cut-off time –  Please take note of the following flight check-in time for international flights – 

Check-in counter and baggage drop – These will close 1 hour prior to departure. 

Boarding gate – Our gates open 45 minutes before departure. 

Online check-in cut-off time – The Swoop check in online starts 24 hours before departure. But remember, the check-in and baggage drop counters at the airport will close 60 minutes prior to departure.

Assistance – If you need a wheelchair or any other special assistance at the airport, you need to complete check-in 3 hours before departure. 

Documents for Swoop domestic flights check in

When flying within Canada, you’ll need to present your identification during boarding at the check in counter as well as at the boarding gate. It must match the name on your boarding pass. You have two options –

• One piece of valid Canadian government-issued photo ID that includes your name and date of birth.

OR

• Two pieces of valid (not expired) Canadian government-issued non-photo ID, with one of them displaying your name and date of birth.

Please note – If there’s a name change discrepancy, you must present a marriage certificate or legal change of name certificate to verify the change.
