Travel from Brazil – For all passengers departing from Brazil, passengers can carry 22 lbs of cabin luggage.

Baby Food & Special Dietary Restrictions– Exemptions will be granted for prescriptions, baby milk or meals, and special dietary needs. Passengers need to produce proof of the nature of such items.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Passengers can take advantage of the largest baggage allowance in the world. Your free baggage allowance is determined by the total amount of weight or the number of pieces of luggage you have. The weight or piece concept mentioned below is used to describe this.
For most routes, the weight concept is not applicable. The piece concept applies for travel routes to and from the Americas and Africa. Your allowance is determined on your destination, fare, and travel class.
Weight concept – The Emirates baggage allowance is based on the total weight of all the checked baggage. You can check in as much baggage as you want, up to the weight limit for your flight class. Each bag should not weigh more than 32 kg.
Class of travel | Special | Saver | Flex | Flex Plus |
Economy Class | 20 kg | 25 kg | 30 kg | 35 kg |
Class of travel | Baggage allowance |
Business Class | 40 kg |
First Class | 50 kg |
Checked baggage dimensions – A single bag’s overall dimensions (length + breadth + height) shouldn’t be greater than 300 cm (118 inches). Oversized bags won’t be permitted as checked baggage.
Piece concept – You can check in a limited number of baggage, and each bag has a weight limit. Your budget is determined by your fare or travel class.
Class of travel | Baggage allowance |
Economy Class | One piece up to 23 kg for Special fares. Two pieces up to 23 kg each for Saver, Flex, and Flex Plus fares |
Premium Economy | Two pieces up to 23kg (50lb) each |
Business Class | Two pieces up to 32kg (70lb) each |
First Class | Two pieces up to 32kg (70lb) each |
*The aforementioned Emirates checked baggage allowance is applicable for travel to/from Europe, US, and Africas.
Travel starting in Australia, New Zealand, or Asia – If your flight from Australia, New Zealand, or Asia to North or South America involves a layover in Dubai for more than 24 hours or a segment in Europe, the weight concept will apply to your reservation.
The weight idea may apply if you are travelling into Africa for more than 24 hours.
Dimensions for checked luggage under piece concept – Each piece’s combined length, width, and height cannot exceed 150 cm (59 inches). Any individual products that are larger than 150 cm (59 inches), up to a maximum of 300 cm (118 inches), or 215 cm (84.64 inches for travel from Dammam International Airport, may incur an extra baggage fee.
