Passengers Flying with Infants and Small Children

Virgin Atlantic does not accept newborns under 48 hours old for travel, and children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 16 years old (one infant per adult). Add to that –

• Passengers must arrive at least 3 hours before departure to avoid peak rush at the airport.
• The accompanying adult may additionally carry Virgin Atlantic baggage allowance up to 6 kilograms for newborns (or 10 kg for children over 2 years old). 
• One pushchair plus one of the following: a car seat, booster seat, or travel cot, totaling 2 pieces of free baby gear per child.

Virgin Atlantic Unaccompanied Minors

From the age of five to fifteen, Virgin Atlantic welcomes unaccompanied minors on flights. In addition –

• Virgin Atlantic unaccompanied minors must complete the check in at the airport.
• Keep in mind that the parent or guardian of the traveling kid must remain at the airport until the child’s aircraft has taken off.

Pregnant women can fly up until the following stage:
