• Check-in online Singapore Airlines – Whether you’re on your computer or using your mobile device, enjoy the convenience of checking in. The online check-in starts 48 hours up until 90 minutes prior to departure.
• Airport check in – For those who prefer a hands-on approach, airport check-in counters are readily available. Arrive at least 2 hours before departure and choose one of the dedicated counters. You can also prefer self service check in kiosks that help you avoid the long queue at the airport.
• Return check-in – passengers who have a return flight within 48 hours of the outward journey, they can choose this option, and check in for the both flights at the same time. This option is not available for the passengers flying to/from the USA.
• Through check-in – This singapore air option is available when you have flights operated by both partner Airlines and SIA.

Starting 48 hours before your flight’s departure, you can request Singapore Airlines online check in from the convenience of your laptop or smartphone. When you request Singapore Airlines check in online, you can request – 

• Seat selection
• Declare checked baggage
• Book a special meal
• Download the boarding pass

Eligibility criteria – Passengers are not eligible for the online check-in if – 

• Travel under Singapore Airlines unaccompanied minor service.

• Passengers traveling in a group of 9 passengers or more on the same itinerary. 

Steps for Online Check-in and getting a Boarding Pass

Begin by visiting the Singapore Airlines official website and selecting the “Check-in” tab. Do the following – 

• Enter your six-character booking reference or 13-digit e-ticket number along with the last name of the passenger.

• Alternatively, you can also complete check-in through the provided link for your travel reminder email. 

• Once you’re on the Check-in overview page, review your flight details. Select the passengers you wish to check in for by ticking the appropriate boxes.

• Provide the necessary information on the passenger details page. Afterward, click “Proceed to check-in”

• Your checking-in with Singapore Airlines is complete. You will receive a confirmation email detailing your successful check-in.

• You can also change your seat by navigating through the ‘Change seat’ button, and simply save the changes. 

• Click on ‘Get boarding pass’ to generate the digital boarding pass. You can download the Singapore Airlines boarding pass or have it sent directly to your email address. 

• If you’re departing from Singapore, you can request Singapore Airlines check-in baggage. All you need to do is click on ‘Declare checked baggage’.

• Open the mobile app and find the “My Trips” section.

• To get a mobile boarding pass from Singapore Airlines, tap on “View Boarding Pass”.

• Before finalizing, review the board process. Now tick the checkboxes and click “Proceed”.

Before you head to the airport, it’s recommended that you arrive at least 3 hours before your flight’s departure, and follow these steps – 

• Locate the designated Singapore Airlines check-in counters.
• Approach the check-in counter and present your booking reference or e-ticket number.
• The Airline staff will review your flight details.
• Ask the Airline’s representative to check your luggage. 
• Upon successful completion of your Singapore Airlines check-in, the Airline staff will provide you with the boarding pass and baggage tags. 

Steps for Singapore Airlines self-service check-in kiosk?

Singapore Airlines check-in through kiosks is available between 4 hours and 50 minutes before scheduled departure. Follow these steps on how you can use the kiosk for a hassle-free experience – 

• At the kiosk, select the SIA logo to initiate the Singapore Airlines check-in process.

• Choose “Get Boarding Pass” to generate your boarding pass. 

• If you’ve already generated the boarding pass through an online or mobile app but still need the baggage tag, tap on the ‘Get Bag Tag’.
• Place your passport on the scanner with the photo page facing downwards.

• Retrieve your booking by entering the six-character booking reference. You can also search your flight with the destination airport. 

• Indicate the number of bags to be checked in for your flight. 

• Review the boarding process and then select the appropriate process. 

• Provide your contact details and click “Continue”.

• Collect your printed boarding pass and bag tags from the kiosk.

• Head to the automated bag drop machine or bag drop assistance counter to drop off your bags. 

Please note – For flights departing from Changi International airport, the Singapore Airlines check in time (cut off) will be 60 minutes before flight departure. 

Is pre check-in available for Singapore Airlines flights?

Passengers can streamline the Singapore Airline check-in process through an auto check-in feature that allows passengers to get their boarding process done automatically. Here’s how you can activate Singapore Airlines pre check in feature – 

• Initiate the process by clicking the “Manage Booking” tab on singaporeair.com.
• Retrieve your booking through Booking Reference/13-digit ticket number as well as the passenger’s last name.
• If your booking is eligible for Auto Check-In, you’ll find the auto check-in widget on your Manage Booking page.
