Flight change request can be accepted under the following conditions –

• LATAM Change Fee – Flight change fee varies with the travel class and the route.
• Promo Fares – All Promo fares, once ticketed, are not permitted for any flight cancellations.
• Premium Members – LATAM Pass members (Black Signature, Black, and Platinum status) are allowed to make changes for free. Fare difference may apply.
• LATAM Schedule Change Policy – In case of schedule change, delay, or flight cancellation, passengers are allowed to make changes to their travel date at no additional fee and any applicable fare difference.
• Ticket Validity – Passengers making change to their flight must request flight change or LATAM Airlines flight cancellations within 12 months from the date of issue.
• Third-Party Booking – Passengers who booked a flight ticket with a travel agency can make the changes with LATAM, provided that the scheduled departure must be within 48 hours at the time of request.
• Check-in – No change would be permitted after passengers complete the LATAM Airlines check-in process.

Latam Same Day Flight Change

As per LATAM flight change policy, passengers are allowed to modify the time of the flight, keeping the origin, destination, and travel date the same.

LATAM same day flight change guidelines

While making the same day flight change with LATAM Airlines, you must be aware of certain rules –

• Flight must be operated by LATAM Airlines, as changes are not permitted on any codeshare or interline agreement flights.
• LATAM flight change fee would be applicable. No fare difference will apply. 
• Changes would apply to all the passengers included in the reservation.
• Irrespective of the flight you select, the conditions of what is allowed in terms of baggage or any other amenities will remain the same.
• Infants under 2 years old would be provided a waiver on LATAM change fee.
• If there is more than 1 airport in your destination or you have a connecting flight, you can change the airport.

How can I access this service?

You can request LATAM same day flight change between 24 hours and 1 hour 40 minutes before flight on the airline’s website, through the app as well at the contact center.

At the airport – You can request at the airport office between 24 hours and 1 hour for domestic flights, and up to 1 hour and 40 minutes on international flights. 

Same day flight change fees

LATAM same day flight change fee would be applicable on the following routes – 

Please Note – The aforementioned fee is non-refundable unless there is a flight cancellation, delay or schedule change by the airline, related to any unforeseen circumstances that prevent passengers from using the flight. 

Exception to same day flight change facility

LATAM Pass members would be offered the Same Day flight change service at no extra cost. However, the benefits vary with the tier status for instance – 

LATAM Change Flight Fee

As per LATAM flight change policy, passengers requesting to make changes are bound to pay 300 USD or 100% of the fare – whichever is lower. 

For No-Show, there would be a penalty of 450 USD or 100% of the fare – whichever is lower.

LATAM Change Flight Process

Passengers can request the flight change online through My Trips, follow these steps –

• Visit the LATAM Airlines home page.
• Click on Manage Your Trips from My Trips.

• Enter the booking reference and the passenger’s last name. Click on the Search button to proceed.
• Select the flight segment that you wish to modify.
• Click on Flight Change.
• Enter the new travel date, or change the origin/destination.
• Choose from one of the available options, based on your request.
• Pay the applicable change fee and the fare difference to complete the flight change. 
• You will receive the new travel itinerary as soon as the payment is confirmed.

In case, you don’t wish to travel at all, LATAM Cancellation Policy allows passengers to cancel their flight booking in case of uncertainties.

LATAM Change Flight Date

If there is a flight delay, rescheduled to another date or cancelation due to unforeseen circumstances, you can change your flight provided –

• The fare rule must permit the flight change.
• The flight must be operated by LATAM.
• Tickets must be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Options If Your LATAM Flight Gets Rescheduled

As per LATAM Airlines change flight policy, you can modify your travel plans at no extra cost, provided – 

• You must travel to the same destination.
• The flight must be operated by LATAM.
• You must have a valid boarding pass.

In that case, LATAM Airlines will provide you the option or you can select the flight that best suit your travel –

• Access the Reschedule your trip page with the booking reference and the passenger’s last name. 
• Check the travel itinerary proposed by the airlines.
• If the itinerary suits you, simply select and confirm changes to your reservation. 
• If not, select the date you want to travel to. The system will show you the options available, based on your request. 
• Now select the flight from the available options.
• Review the terms and conditions.
• Confirm your LATAM Airlines change flight requests.

Does the LATAM Flight Change Policy vary with the fare types?

Yes. Passengers making changes to the flight will vary with the origin/destination, alongside the ticket type –

• Flex fare offers free flight change.
• Control fares are permitted to change, and are subject to a fee.
• Access and Base fares are considered as restricted fares.

LATAM flight change policy offers the flexibility you need for hassle-free travel. It is the Flex fare that allows you to make changes anytime you need. On top of that, the restricted fare allows the flight change but tinder certain conditions. You can request the flight online, or over the phone at the airport. For all the last-minute changes, head to the airport, please ensure that you complete the flight change 3 hours before the departure.
