Avianca Check-in for Passengers Flying with Infants

• When travelling with infants, keep in mind that the flight ticket must be linked to the adult’s reservation at the time of check in. Remember that all infants, regardless of age, must have their own ticket. 
• You must have the details of an adult passenger associated with the booking when checking in with children aged 2 to 11.
• The web check-in and mobile check-in services are only available if you have an associated booking reference with the infant.  To club an infant with your flight reservation, feel free to reach the Avianca customer care phone number. 

Legal Documents for Avianca Flight Check in

• Passengers need to keep the passport or government issued photo ID, visa, boarding pass, and other travel documents handy at the time of check-in. 
• The passenger is solely responsible for the information entered in the check-in portal. 
• Avianca airlines is not responsible for any additional airline’s penalty and other expenses to the customs and immigration authority. 
• Passengers who purchase a frivolous reservation may have their flight cancelled and may be barred from boarding the flight in the future under applicable laws.

Check in Policy for Passengers have a Connection/Stopover

• If you have a connecting flight, the Avianca kiosk or airport check-in would be available in the selected cities in Columba.  Therefore, it is recommended to complete the online check-in.
• Always use web check-in or auto check-in to get your boarding pass to your final destination in case of a flight booking with stopover or layover. 

Avianca Baggage Check In

• Passengers who need to check their luggage head to the baggage drop counter at the airport, and need to complete the formality 60 minutes before the scheduled departure. 
• Passengers with the checked baggage must arrive at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure for international flights and 2 hours for the domestic flight. 
• Carrying harmful materials in your carry-on as well as checked luggage is prohibited.
• Authorities can open and inspect your suitcases even if you are not present. Even if your luggage is already sealed, the inspection may occur. Please note Avianca airlines are not liable for this inspection if the seal is broken or removed.

• Regardless of any destination, the weight allowance for the checked baggage is 23 kg for Economy Class, and for Business Class is 32 kg. 
• To get the best price on the Avianca baggage check-in allowance, you can add at the time of flight booking.
• To add the checked luggage on your existing reservation, you can do is –
  • Enter the My Trip section.  
  • To access your booking, enter the reservation code and the last name of the passenger.
  • Select the option ‘Purchase baggage’. 
  • Select the articles you need to purchase.
  • Complete the purchase process and save changes to complete the Avianca baggage check-in request.

How to Print Avianca Boarding Pass?

With the Avianca pre check in tool, you can print your boarding pass quickly and easily from any location. You can also visit the Avianca airport check in counters for assistance with the check-in process and printing of your boarding pass. In addition – 

• By the orders of the airport authorities and government, it is mandatory to carry Avianca print boarding pass in Cancun, Havana, Puerto Rico, Porto Alegre, Punta Cana, Rio de Janeiro, and Santa Cruz de La Sierra, as per the Avianca international flight check in policy. 
• If you arrive at the airport without a boarding pass, you can print it at one of the airport kiosks. This option is available if you aren’t able to locate your digital boarding pass on your smartphone. 
• If you didn’t save or misplaced your boarding pass on your phone, you can visit the Mobile Check In link on the Avianca app and look for it in the lower section of the page. If not, re-enter your information and you will receive it right away.
• Remember to proceed directly at the security checkpoint with your photo ID and the boarding pass if you are travelling with carry-on baggage only.

Avianca Check In Options

With Avianca, you can complete the flight check-in through mobile, web, and the airport.  The airlines open the check-in 24 hours before the scheduled departure. 

Avianca Mobile Check In

Remember that if you check in using your smartphone, your boarding pass will be displayed on your phone and you will not need to print it. Simply flash your mobile screen at the airport counter, security gate, or the boarding lounge, as needed. Follow these steps to complete the flight check-in –

Avianca Web Check In

Please note that if you complete the Avianca check in online through the arine’s website, you need to print the boarding pass. To compete the Avianca online check in –

• Select the ‘Avianca Airlines check in’ tab on the airline’s homepage.
• Enter the booking details such as confirmation code and the last name of the passenger to retrieve the reservation. 
• Select seats, and meal preference  to your travel. 
• The boarding pass will be displayed on the screen.
• All you need to do is print the boarding pass before you arrive at the airport. 

The Avianca online check in service is available for – 

• Passenger with confirmed ticket.
• The validating carrier must be the Avianca Airlines
• Tickets issued in any class or with class of service upgrades.
• Reservation with no more than 9 passengers.
• Flights with shared code, operated by Avianca. 

The Avianca app check in or web check-in is not available for – 

• Bookings that have already checked in
• Travelers with oxygen concentrators or portable dialysis equipment.
• Passengers carrying firearms
• Passengers with visual and hearing impairments. 

Avianca Phone Check-in

Passenger who are unable to access the Avianca app check-in or online check-in must complete the request by calling the Avianca customer service phone number. An additional service fee may apply.

Avianca Airport Check In

When you arrive at the airport, you need to complete the Avianca pre check in according to the established domestic and international flight times. You only need to bring all of your documentation to the airport counters, and your baggage and boarding pass will be checked in minutes.

• Enter the booking details in the kiosk system.
